Furr, Wegman & Banks Architects, P.A. Announces New President

Lakeland, FL, August 22, 2023 – Furr, Wegman & Banks Architects, P.A. (FWB), is excited to announce a transition in leadership, elevating Aaron Banks into the role of President. He will manage the firm’s day-to-day operations with Phil Wegman, who continues as Vice President. Michael Furr will serve in an advisory role to the firm’s leadership.

Founded 25 years ago, Michael Furr and Phil Wegman set out to establish an architectural practice known for its high quality of work, investment in the community, and excellence of its people. The firm is very excited to embark on this new chapter and looks forward to continuing to provide outstanding client service and award-winning architectural design.

Phil Wegman commented, “Aaron possesses a tremendous passion for creative design, responsiveness to clients, and collaborative approach on our diverse projects. This compliments & enhances the professional architectural services that Mike & I have developed since our foundation in 1998. It is an honor to welcome Aaron into his new role of President during our 25th year of business.”

Banks joined FWB in 2014 and brings a deep commitment to the firm’s values, having contributed to the leadership and direction of the firm as a Principal since 2018.

Banks currently serves Polk State Alumni Association and the North Tampa Bay Chamber Foundation as a member of their Board of Directors. Aaron has been published in “40 under 40” Monograph AIA Tampa Bay 2009, and “Craft & Context - SACD at 25” University of South Florida.
