ACADEMY AT THE LAKES - Construction continues!

Furr, Wegman & Banks Architects have been conducting site visits for the new classroom building at Academy at the Lakes in Land O’ Lakes. This building was designed to enhance campus learning spaces focusing on classrooms, vocational labs, performing arts instruction spaces, and faculty offices.

During our inspection visit last week, we observed the progress of the two-story classroom building.  Since our last visit, construction of the exterior block walls have been built up to the second level, providing a most welcome protection for this rainy-day inspection. Interior walls are already starting to take form, with metal studs separating the rooms on the first level. The entry is also developing, with columns being installed for the large expanse of glass that will mark the main entrance. 

We can’t wait to watch this project continue and look forward to the day when it can open to serve the incoming students!! Rain or shine the project continues!
